Hello. I am a fourth generation San Diegan and a third generation graduate
of San Diego State. I have a B.A. in Economics w/minors in Political Science
and History, a teaching credential in Social Science, and a Master's in
Educational Technology. I have been teaching at Torrey Pines High School since 1994 and have taught Economics, World History, American Government, and AVID. Currently, I am teaching tenth grade world history and twelfth grade AP American Government. I really enjoy these two subjects and these grade levels. Sophomores are so fun and eager to learn and when they become seniors I have the pleasure of teaching them one more time before they graduate. Interests Since I have had my summers off, I have used this time to travel to various places around the world. I have been to Indonesia twice, Australia, South Africa, Europe, Central America, and Mexico. My visits have been anywhere from five weeks to three months. I really enjoy learning about other people and immersing myself in the culture of the indigineous people of these lands. I also enjoy the surf that these wonderful places have to offer. On the top left & right, I'm doing what I enjoy the most. If I'm not grading, I'm carving. On the bottom right is my late dog Ruby and known by most as the "Ruler of the World." Ruby loved people, going for long walks, riding in cars, sleeping, and eating.
