Ranch High School Field Competition - October 23, 2004
" Mr.
Fleischmann announced that the LCC Maverick Brigade took a 4th
place in 2A bands and a 4th place in 2A color guard. This is
an absolutely amazing achievement for a first time effort! Our
musicians and color guard not only did a great job - they
LOOKED great and SOUNDED great. We faced very experienced and
well developed bands in programs far older and stronger than
our own. Bravo and Brava for Mr. Fleischmann and Ms. Whalley!
We are so proud of you.
Also, thanks
to all the band parents (and a few siblings!) who gave so
generously of their time, muscle power, creativity and
donations of soda and water for the competition on Saturday.
Our very first effort at a real competition went quite
smoothly and it would not have been possible without so many
pitching in to do what was needed, when it was needed. It just
goes to show what a dedicated and committed bunch of boosters
we have!"
